Back to Work

Seminole Tribe of Florida Empire State Championship.

After taking about a month off from pool I finally picked up my cues again last week. I played in the Empire State Championships in NYC this past weekend. The tournament didn't go so well for me which is to be expected having not played in a while. I had a tough first round matching up against Shawn Wilke who  just had a very strong second place finish last weekend in Las Vegas.  I made a couple mistakes and lost 7-4. My next match was against Junior Sanchez, I started to settle in a little and I won 7-2. Then ended up being eliminated by Matt Krah 7-4, again just a couple little mistakes that turned out to be costly. The upside is that it got my nose wide open again to start working hard at my game. Especially with the US Open just around the corner.

I just recently became the house pro at a local pool hall called Concord Billiards. It's a great honor to represent them. The room has 15 Brunswick Gold Crowns and a great atmosphere to practice in. Anyone in the Philly area check it out, you wont be disappointed.
